Feeling glum is onset by thoughts of the past or present.
If I turn on the computer, I am suddenly aware of how sluggish and caved-up I feel. But really, that comes from knowing of what is physically required of me.
It is important to draw yourself into the present, to shrink your awareness down to a moment. Imagine the bubbles of thought that are yesterday's preoccupations. Imagine the greasy clouds that are expectation, worry, anticipation for the near future. Now imagine them completely disappearing. What a refreshing, lightweight feeling!
